We're heading south Monday morning. We'll detour through Lockhart for lunch. Will also get some Q from Rudy's in Leon Springs while we're there. Will detour through Taylor on the way back. Will hit MiTierras and find some others to try. Any suggestions for whole in the wall dive type places? Cheap lunch or gotta try taco joints? Any really good breakfast places near 410 & Wurzbach? I checked out the thread from Stan, just didn't know if any other places.

Thanks
Ty

Hey Ty,

If your schedule allows I'd love to get together for some chow and a few beers. As far as the location do you mean I-10 and Wurzbach or 410 and Harry Wurzbach? Those are two very different locations. As far as I know 410 and Wurzbach never meet. We could get out to Texas Pride BBQ in SE Bexar county or Harmons BBQ out in Cibolo for something off the beaten path. Plenty of TexMex to be had also. Let me know if we meet up.

Try the "Smokehouse BBQ" at Roland and Rigsby. Great Q I think that they also have one at Fredericksburg and Callaghan.

Taco Cabana is good for breakfast (many locations all over the area).

There are loads of small places down around Lackland AFB...don't remember any names...but if you slide across the floor on the grease it can't be bad, can it?

Las Palapas used to be one our favorite places...only had two locations when we were there -- they've now got 12, including the airport!!http://www.las-palapas.net/Locations.htm

I always hit Shilos Deli right across from the river walk whenever I am in San Antonio. Excellant German Deli and something of an institution.

Yea, I-10 is what I meant. I'll check with Jamie about squezzing in some time to at least have a drink or 2.

Here is a link to the address with a map link too. It's a bit west of I-10 but not far.

Tostada Burger at Chris Madrid's. The Relleno isn't bad at La Fonda, if enchiladas are a must go with the verdes sauce.

Met up with Zilla and his family for dinner at Mi Tierras. Great food and great company. Darwin and his family were extreamly nice. Will definately make an effort to meet up again. No pics from tonight though.

Had lunch at Rudy's by Seaworld. I'll try to get all the bbq pics posted on Sunday when I'm back at home.

Hey Thillin, it sure was nice to meet you and your family. We had a great time and we're looking forward to having out to our place next year when you come back. Conrad fell asleep in the truck about 10 min into the ride home, how did Gavin do?

Hey Zilla! It was great to meet you and your family. We enjoyed dinner. Gavin was still going strong when we got back to the hotel. That child has to much energy! (As if you couldn't tell that!) You have a wonderful family. We would love to see yall again on our next visit. Thanks! :-D
