Good luck Andy, we gave this one a serious look for this year but ended up passing, now I wish I wouldn't have. Is this the first year you have competed and how does it stack up?

It was a good contest last year for a first year event. Since it is on campus, "alcohol is prohibited" - but the campus police were very nice, and as long as it was in cups, and not blatant, like me passing a crown bottle (opps) - they never even ask.
It is the same weekend as the spring game for KSU, so you get some of that football/tailgate vibe going too. I had a fun time last year.
As far as how it ranks... It's not near the top - no power supplied, no shade, ice/water etc. are a haul, I much perfer contests like the ones at Marshalltown, Basswood, Bellevue, etc. I like to have space, power, and water.... and no campus cops trolling for MIPs/Drunk in Public's :o)
But, if you go into it with the right expectation (knowing its in a stadium parking lot, on a college campus, and during the spring scrimmage) it is a fun time. If you arent a fan of a college football atmosphere, it wouldnt be much fun

I will be there competing again. I can't vouch for how it ranks though as this is the only competition I have ever been in. This will be year 2 and we are looking forward to it. It will be a long haul from MN but I am ready for a good competition and then some football.
