View Full Version : How about May 12 North Texas gathering

How about May 12th? First thought about the 5th, but it would be rushed for me due to a wedding to attend that evening. If we can get more people on the 5th, I'm game. Depending who all chimes in about going, then we can decide where.

If thats a Saturday I am in. It would be great to meet you all. We have Lanham Mill Park in Glen Rose on the Paluxy River. I will look into a Porta John if this sounds good. You can camp for free for up to 3 days. No hook ups. Also we have the The Loco Coyote run by Tom Hammond about 10 minutes from the River. You just have to get there early if you wanna get a table. Tom makes some of the best Q around DFW. His Catfish and Chicken Fried Steak are out of this world. Price are a little high but the portions are HUGH!
I can also take my Gator to the Park for all to use. With a load of seasoned Pecan ready to go.

Dat's Good Que in Lewisville.

The folks working there were very nice and welcoming, nice restaurant, but just didn't care much for the food and it was expensive. We spend about $35 for 3 of us to eat lunch. Everyone else seemed to like it, but I am not sure if they truely did or if they were just being nice.

Any brothers eaten there? What did you think of it?

Well, Dr. said that the wife sprained her ankle. After they re-read the x-rays, they are saying that she fractured her fibula and was referred to a specialist. She is supposed to stay off of her feet for now.

May have to skip out on this lunch. http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Sad/crying-022.gif

Will still try to make it, but it's not looking good. I sure would like to show up for one of the bashes!

Glad you guys had a great time. We enjoyed the Mom's Day weekend ourselves. My only chance of making it was for Lone Star Park to cancel all festivities. That didn't happen. The wife and I hit the first three exactas and pretty much played on the house money the rest of the day. I just missed my pick three and pick four...we will get them next time.
