I went to Pittsburgh a couple of weeks ago, and got some shots of some of my favorite food anywhere!

I know pizza is almost like religion, but Vincent's Pizza is as good as I've ever had anywhere. I'm not trying to tell you that your favorite isn't worthy, just that this can't be beat in my book.

Vinny Pie has tons of locally made sausage and pepperoni, very thinly sliced peppers and onions and mushrooms, not too much sauce, lots of cheese, and a really great crust. Some don't like bread-like crusts, but I love this stuff!

The Original Hot Dog Shop's first location is in Oakland, in the U of Pitt area. We used to walk down there from CMU at 3:30 AM during an all nighter to get cheese fries and chili-cheese-onion dogs. REAL dogs, with natural casing. Small fries are double the largest at McDonald's, and double fried. These were the first cheese fries I ever had, back in 1982.

Next trip, I'll add some of the places I shop for food in Pittsburgh... Well worth a trip if you're not too far away.
