Yep, this is my backyard. Not that I had the first thing to do with it, but I am real proud of the way Frank runs this one.:eusa_clap

I can't compete with the parties you and big daddy Q throw, but if you come by my site I promise to give you some peanuts and drink your beer
If you come by Saturday before lunch, I'll buy you an ear of corn. I'm the consummate big spender.

We should have some nice weather for a change at least.8-)

Has anyone heard the results yet? I didn't get to come by today like I'd hoped. Johnny's still sick with a nasty cold. I had hoped it would have passed by now but instead looks like he's out for the weekend.

So anyway....How'd everybody do? It's nail biting here on my end.

This is a much tougher field than a lot of folks think...congrats to you guys that placed.

I'm nursing a nasty cold (since Thursday) and didn't venture out yesterday...I've judged or competed there the last three years -- it's a good contest with name teams, a large field, and lot's of talent.

Really interesting (and different) results.

For Firehouse and Jack's Old South to be at or near the top is not surprising--first class competitors!

As they say, on any day.........any team can be anywhere.
Gotta be some side stories here

Congrats to all the Brethren teams!

Thanks. This is a top notch contest that should be on everyone's "To Cook" list. Very well done. Got to meet Omega Grill Team - Johnny I think it is. Very nice guy who I managed to talk into joining the FBA. We'll be seeing more of him

SIDE STORIES ...............I won my table on chicken with a 178.8667 by almost three points over the next team on the same table and came in 19th !!! some tables scored low and others lower.......189.71668 was the highest score of the day! many were complaining about certain judges

Rub, Thanks for the kind words! You will be getting my membership and i'll see you in Clermont!

The competition was very well run and I had a great time. I went in not knowing what to expect and got absolutely HOOKED! Everyone was so friendly. I had first heard of BBQ Competitions while watching a BBQ Competition on the Food Network's BBQ Championship Series. I couldn't believe it! A BBQ Competition.

I knew I had to go to one and I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised to meet not only Myron Mixon but all the others competing.

Rub, HomeBBQ.com and AKA BBQ, thank you so much for your hospitality and you have brought another one over to the "smoker's section."

I ended up with the nasty Flu and by Sunday wanted to die.
Other than that, this was one kick arse contest. Frank puts on a awsome party.

Good Job FireHouse, Jacks, heartland woodhouse and rub.

Scores were all over the place on this one, but I'm not bitchin' my stuff just didn't shine like I wanted.

Congrats to Rub (swamp boys) for an awsome finish in his home town. Thats way cool.
