Looks like I'm coming back to Manhattan before the end of the year. Right now, I look to be in town Dec 13 -14. Anyone want to get together at one of the BBQ joints? Would like to check out RUB unless there's another suggestion.

Would you like me to try and get you tickets to the Rock Center "Eye in the Sky" Platform?

Supposed to be spectacular views of the city.

I, um, know the owner 8-)

Was there a few months ago.. I went to Virgil's BBQ for dinner that night with some co-workers from England and then walked over to Top of the Rock with them.

I might be able to make it depending if I can get out of work at a decent time to catch a train. I'm on vacation the following day anyway.

Okay, looks like I'm coming to NY on Dec 13-14. Let's get together on Wednesday, Dec 13. My suggestion would be RUB, but I'm totally open... as long as it is in the City. I might have a friend (Matt) from Jersey City with me.

Hell, the NY Cabby in the commercial could hardly fold it properly.

Ever see the episode of The Office where Steve Carrell goes to NY? Says, "When I come to NY, I love to go to my favorite pizza place." They pull back and he's standing in front of a Sbarro. Classic.

Sbarro at least has authentic roots Brooklyn roots. A real Italian-American family (Sbarro's) had a salumeria in Brooklyn and ventured into a Brooklyn mall which set the stage for future expansion. The family just sold it this week to a private investment conpany for nearly $420M dollars... Their corporate office is arond the corner from my company's headquarters.

I was planning on taking a 6:30 train from Merrick but I'd be definitely carpool if you really want to drive in. My office is right off the LIE and Rt. 110 so it would probably be easiest to meet and jump right back on the LIE. Are you sure you remember what LIE traffic is like driving in even with HOV lane part of the way ??
