I've been to Umberto's, Ancona and Grimaldi's (which was an Honorable Mention just outside of the top 10).

Umberto's is overrated, Ancona is pretty good and Grimaldi's was real good but I'm guessing the original Grimaldi's in Brooklyn is much better.

Still need to get to Difara's in Brooklyn....

TK,

You want a pie ? - How about 1/2 pumpkin, 1/2 pepperoni ??

Try this place... They call it Pizza Hut... They've been in business since 1958 and are so good they actually have five locations in Long Beach, CA... I hear it's almost as good as NY Pizza...

Ya know, Brooklyn is part of Long Island geographically if not politically. If Newsday looked at it that way, they could have listed some real good pizza places and not the wanna bes.

Long Island Pizza (Nassau and Suffolk) isn't that much different from Domino's Brooklyn Style Pizza. http://2ni2.com/emoticon/special/botando.gif

Vincents Pizza on the corner of Atlantic Ave and Merrick Rd. in Lynbrook and Centurion Pizza on Nassau Blvd in Garden City South are my two favorites. I only get to eat good NY Pizza every few years now. But the BBQ and Tex Mex are good here.
