Many of you have called the Royal, who told you to contact me for your team details. Here is the drill.

Please send me a stamped, self addressed envelope with your team name and number, as well as Open, Invitational or Both and I will print off your results and mail them to you. The program will not let me copy and e-mail.

Merl Whitebook

Yours in BBQ

P.S. thought about making $500.00 by asking for a dollar in each envelope. Lol Just kidding, do not send money.

Merl, thanks for your offer.....but what a crock! The American Royal should be sending these out on their dime.

Merl, are they in a format that you can convert to a PDF? If so, you should be able to email those and save yourself a lot of work!

I have not figured out how to take the results and make a PDF. However, as I sit here, I am thinking of what I might try. As of now the answer is I am not computer savy enough to do it. But I will keep trying, I am sure there is a way, just don't know how. (Seems like print to file and then convert might work. It won't allow copy function.)

Merl, I may be able to work with you to format the results so it can be send out electronically, in batch. I will send u a phone number to use if your interested.

I'm sure Phil can help you, Merl... there is a free PDF maker you can download the print driver for at www.software995.com (http://www.software995.com) and then all you do is open the document, choose print and use the dropdown menu where your printer is listed and choose the pdf maker instead. It spits out a pdf slicker than snot and you just save it! That could easily be emailed out.

you mean the nerd brothers couldnt do this. Seems they got some stage time and came off as computer nerds fully capable of doing this if they wanted too. Once again Merl you go above and beyond the call of duty. By the way. When do they mail the checks out for those of us lucky enough to get one.

Rick, thank you for the complement. Now lets remember this is the Bretheren, therefore lets not knock another. We were a team who worked together. One amazing point, not one complaint has been received by the office over the judging and scoring of the contest. We all worked hard.

any by the way, I got my check from the Royal today, so I would expect your soon.

Hey, Hey, Hey!!!!

Thanks Jim..

Thanks Jim but if I understand correctly, it was the individual scores given by each judge for appearance, taste and tenderness that they're looking for. If I'm wrong, I apologize. That was the way I understood it.

I meant no harm merl. I thought the guys were some kind of brothers grimm or somthing and were computer geeks. No offense to them computer nerds make a heck of a lot more money than the bbq nerd writhing this. LOL keep up the great work merl.

I just got an e-mail back from Lynette Darby at the Royal in reply to the question of if/when the individual scores would be sent out:

Yes…we will probably be doing that next week. We received the individual scores from KCBS about a week ago.

Got this reply at about 2:30pm on Friday, 10/20. Let's see if any of these show up. I sure hope they do and she isn't just feeding me a line.
