You had me at "steak .."

Incidentally, the idea of putting beans on my burger had never crossed my mind until now. And now I can't get the thought out of my head.

Is it good?

Back in my early Scout days, we used to top off with some basic pork n beans cause usually the burgers were done like hockey pucks.
Something always helps.
Refried does make sense, not sure about pintos.

It's an excellent burger. Sold a bunch tonight. (Almost out)

This was a hot item at a bar and grill I worked at in Lafayette CO.
They called it something else.
They've been out of business quite a few years now.

In Corpus Christi, the Executive Surf Club sells something close called the surf burger. They use tortilla chips instead of fritos.

Unfortunately, I believe there is a regulation forbidding the health inspector from eating at any establishments. Wouldn't want to show favoritism, nor possibly be accused of taking a bribe.
