This is from my 3rd competition, all back yard. KCBS guidelines were used.

uneven and not much bark showing

If you can try and get other types of pork in the box like money muscle or pulled chunks. Straight pulled pork can dry out quick and doesn't look as appealing. Check out bbqcritic.com for box examples if you haven't.

At best an 8 based on the previous comments. From the picture, your meat does look moist and appealing.

It would get an 8 from me. Looks pretty moist, but like mentioned already, not "Excellent".

7 almost 8. If you had 6 pieces like that one with bark in the front of the box it would help

Looking at the picture 8.

I would expect 7's and 8's for this

First of all it looks like you did a great job smoking the meat. If you're going to garnish, you should place the greens so the tops form a bed, not a lettuce wrap. Also make sure the meat is evenly placed, you don't want it to look like you just dumped it in there. Finally you should see bark when you open the box. Everyone wants to eat that. Consider applying a glaze either through a dunk or spoon bath to really make the meat glisten.

I can see a 7/8 for this box. Slices would have been a nice addition. Fuller on the greens would have highlighted the meat more. Pork does look moist and cooked just right, like the fact it's not soggy with sauce.

That giant hunk of lettuce in the front left is distracting. I see bark but one hunk looks like it is hiding under the lettuce. My comments would also mirror what the others have said.
