About to start my smoker build, it will be a rotisserie smoker, cooking chamber will be octagon with offset fire box low to the rear of cooking chamber. It calls for a warming box on top of the cooking chamber. My question is: By virtue of the box sitting on top of the cooking chamber will it receive the necessary heat or does it have to have an adjustable vent between the warmer and the chamber to let additional heat into the warming box. The chamber will be built of 3/16th mild steel.
