Hello Brethren, I am a stay at home dad new to BBQ looking for ways to improve my cooking for my family. I spent years on gas and Weber grills cooking chicken, steaks, and burgers but have only recently discovered smoking. I tried it for a few months using American Test Kitchen recipes on my Weber but never felt satisfied.

Since then I purchased a large BGE and focused on brisket and rib recipes from the web. So far I have been struggling with temperature control and ribs which my wife has called "bland". The brisket was better however still a little dry and tough. I'm excited for the day I can post some quality BBQ pictures.

Welcome! Portlandia is in tha HOUSE! You've come to the right place for sure. Lots of EggHeads here who will be more than happy to offer advice about your cooker, and just about everybody else will chime in on cooking in general. All you need do is ask. :biggrin1: :thumb:
