Hey all - been lurking here for a few months and done a little posting. A dear friend of mine, just before losing his battle to cancer (had been stage 4 for 5 years!! incredible guy) gave me his old (read = awesome) New Braunfels offset, which with your help I was able to restore. Last week I began to break it in and am having such a blast. I never dreamed I would be able to create food like this myself!!

I genuinely believe that this forum is the most supportive, helpful, friendly place on the internet, and I am tremendously thankful for it.

Here's the offset!

Thanks for everything, you all!

Thanks guys! Learning slowly but absorbing info here like poultry absorbs smoke at the hands of a woodchunk-happy noob ignoramus!
