I just want to say Hello to everyone!! I just joined the BBQ Brethren and am looking forward to talking BBQ with other enthusiasts!! I just started Competition BBQ with my Dad and brother last year (our team is Maple Leaf BBQ). We compete in the St. Louis and surrounding areas. I hope to get the opportunity to learn and share experiences and tips from fellow competitors!!

Welcome. I'm also new to both the Brethren and competition cooking. I'll be in my first competition in June in Brimfield, IL. I'm just a couple hours north of you in the Peoria IL area.

Thanks everyone! We are competing next weekend in Germantown, Illinois. This will be our second of the year.

I'll have to try Six Row Brewing...can't beat a good Craft Beer!

Here is a picture of our winter project. We went from Off-Set smokers to home made UDS's....

Those are awesome!

Did you do that paint job yourself?

Thanks!!!
Yes... We built them completely from scratch. We used a 55 gallon drum (that once contained Veg oil), a lid from a 22" Weber knock-off. The paint is Hi-temp. engine paint.
