Oh nice, I was thinking about making one. But if they will be available soon for the Humphreys pits I may hold out?

How long until ready for retail? (Or I could be a product tester )

Speaking of mazes, I did a little modification this weekend myself

some expanded metal from Lowes, cut it to the same height as the maze pieces, bent the corners in the vise and put them in place. thats a 15lb bag of stubbs with wood chunks burried in it.

The built in ones are removable. There are three bolts that bolt it on to the firebox door. Once removed, just put the bolts back into the threaded inserts. The removable ones are just that. It slips over the top of the firebox door. We will be posting pictures of both styles with in the next few days.

Is the point of the maze to increase burn time? I have the Battle Box and just pour the charcoal in the tray without a maze. What is the benefit?

In my use case: The point of the maze is to give you a more predictable fire and control the path. When I load my smoker and set my maze I have wood placed at intervals that I want to control the smoke.

Received my "aftermarket" drip guard for the Qubed Box today. Fits nicely so far, we will see how it works when I fire up the pit this weekend and get a fire in the firebox.

It slips on the door, no hardware.
