So, my dad and I were chatting about BBQ competition trophies for some reason. It sparked an idea... why don't some of you guys show off the coolest trophies you have won? I know a lot of you are successful competitors, and this isn't a thread for bragging (well, brag if you want, I don't care), but I thought it would be neat for all of us to see what YOU think is the coolest trophy you've taken home! Let's see that hardware!

Very early into my journey of competition bbq, I was in the house of the person who inspired me and there in the living room was his JACK World Championship trophy. It was a thing of absolute beauty. Since then all others pale in comparison.

My very coolest trophies are the folks that I call friends and mentors that I've gotten to know over the years of competing.

My biggest trophy is a picture of me on stage holding my 3 yr old daughter. We got 3 calls that day and her smile kept getting bigger and bigger. To me, that photo is worth more than any trophy that I have in a pile in the basement.

I really like these trophies from a Comp in Springervile/Eager Arizona. There was a fire in that area a few years before the competition. All the trophies were made from the charred trees that were cut down. The GC and RGC trophy (RGC shown here) also had real deer horns mounted on them that they found in the area.

Without a doubt it was the Beer Pong Championship trophy we wont last year at the Pigs & Peaches festival!! It had a solo cup and ping pong ball duct taped to the top and everything. It didn't leave my side for about a week :becky:. Mad props to The Pig Lebowski for hosting a killer party and tournament :eusa_clap.

^^^ Podge's photo is the crusher right there. Those barrel-stave trophies were the coolest.

We do have a couple of other favorites. Our first RGC, in Clovis, CA, a bronze Remington replica of one of the two statues that stand in town:

and our first GC, in Modesto, CA. A full-on badass championship belt, huge and heavy.

We won these trophies in 2012, I thought they were pretty cool, they are hand crafted to look like a flame, they are made out of 3/8" steel.

This one is my favorite that I won at the Marshall County Blazin' BBQ & Bluegrass in Marshall, IN last September. It is an engraved BBQ Buttula and key chains made out of parachute cord for the categories.

Since I started it, I'll play along. I have only one trophy... only competed twice, and those were both amateur comps. But, I thought this was a neat trophy from the Glen Ellyn Backyard BBQ last September. And yes, I was happy... can you tell?

Not as cool as most posted but very dear to my heart. See I started competing because I went to MIM and met TO-SAUCED-TO-PORK and they were cool indeed as was Clint (smoke in da eye). Then Pitmasters came on then a year or so went by and we went to an instate comp and met whom we call Podge. Small talk nothing major just hello more less during both pass though. Then I got the bug on the way home and entered a comp the next year I think. My goal not to finish last (22 out of 40). The following year I did another comp (7 over all out of 45 - with a high 2 BRISKET).... Followed that up with a (12 overall out of 46 and high 6 BRISKET)... This was all against many top teams in the nation and even team of the year consistence... Sooo more than anything I set a goal and went beyond and proved to myself..... (I CAN compete at least).
My Goal KNOW is to get a JACK invite compete then stop.... IF I can at least do the Jack I will be happy....
Sooo this is my lil' happy trophy's...

In 2011, I stopped at Glen Ellyn Backyard BBQ because I had no idea what competition BBQ was. It was just a small ribs and best dish comp. A great guy, Bill Mehilos, of Head's Red BBQ told me to grab a chair and ask some questions. I figured, this competition bbq sounds pretty cool, I love to bbq, why not give it a shot. A year later I entered that same competition and won it.
