Smoky Mountain Smokers is having an amazing sale on their disposable cutting boards. Not sure if I have seen the price this low. Might be time to stock up!

*I have no interest in this sale, but they have donated their sales for one month to my foundation 2 years ago.

For the people that have used these as well as the cardboard type, any preferences? Reasons?

If you order 6 of the 18" x 24" 30-packs and use the code smoky you get free shipping.

Maybe split an order with others who are local?

I went in there yesterday and ordered the 6 and was able to add in the code, but today it doesn't look like there is a place to enter it.

I could not see any place to put in the code. Was there a date that the special ran through?

These are coated paper, and they are decent quality. I bought a 50 count roll of a competing product (plastic sheets) and was kind of disappointed. Did a non sanctioned comp 2 weeks ago and ended up cutting right through the board into my table with both ribs and pork tenderloin. They are ok for light duty, but not like these. Just ordered 2 boxes

I don't see the value here. I got 6 big plastic cutting boards from restaurant depot for $20. Those will last for years, take up very little room and clean up quickly.

It's not about value, it's about ease of clean up. Even though it's not the green thing to do, we've gone the disposable route for a lot of things. It makes clean up between categories and after the last turn in MUCH easier.

Yes, these are totally worth it! It allows you to "fold up" the juicy, sloppy mess in about a minute. It would take more time to clean a cutting board for each meat.

You aren't kidding about that.
I cut at the edge of the table near the garbage can.
When I have everything in the box and come back from dropping it off at the turn in window, fold that sucker up and straight into the trash.
Quick wipe of the table, whip out a new disposable board and move on to the next category!

Same here. It isn't about being eco-friendly or green; in my case it's more about being lazy on clean up and simplicity. And they disposibles absolutely kill it. And at $0.40 per board based on my last stock-up you can't find anything cheaper with this quality.

Free shipping over $40. The cutting boards are $35. Throw in a bottle of rub or sauce to get to $40 and you got free shipping (or a free bottle of rub/sauce, look at it anyway you want)

It's not really free shipping though since the price of the boards is so inflated. The same pack is $20 over at smokey mountain smokers but you pay shipping...like $19 for one and $22 for two or so. So just buy two at smokey mountain instead and pay like $66 instead of two for $70 with free shipping. Just MHO.

Our STARK BOARDS - Disposable Cutting Boards have a "Brethren Only" sale going on right now + free shipping. The paper boards are a mighty fine product. However, we think we took disposable cutting boards to the next convenience level. They're bigger, on a roll which makes them 1. easy to dispense (dispense from the box, or our dispenser), & WAY easier to to transport.

I hate cleaning cutting boards so much I even use disposable boards when cooking at home :heh:
