I need your opinions on what the 3 best competition classes are for an article in Smoke Signals.

I'm referring to live classes, not online.

You can define 'best' anyway that you'd like, cost wise, personable instructors, greatest real world results, etc.

Just go ahead and say Myron, Rod, and Johnny. Straw polls are popularity contests within a given sample. I will restrain further comment.

I've only been to 1, Chris Hart's. Can't imagine any other being much better.

I have been to all of the above and then some. Top three are as followed
Rod gray( also known as comp bbq101)
Myron mix on(aka power cooking and whole hog , great comrodery)
Corn fed cooking( cutting edge of comp BBQ for the advanced)

These are not in order but were great in their own way. The best class is always first and my first was I smell smoke in 2010 with Steve Farrin , this was by far the most fun and comp savy .

Lakeside Smokers and Chris Hart's-I-Que

In New England, those are the top classes. It's been a while since I Smell Smoke!!! ran a class, so don't know if I can include them as a class you can actually take now, but Myron's is a fun class so that would be my #3.

I'll second that!

Second vote for Cornfed Cookin! Results don't lie! We were in the top 10 overall for 8/10 competitions and one of them we were like 14th out 75 teams. Well worth the money spent!
