Uhm, that would be southern brother to some!

Welcome, where abouts you at in IA? I'm in Minny Soda, but only 10 miles from IA. Chargriller (one of us) is around Souix City, but that farker works too much or something. Doesn't check in as often. Good group here.

Don't they all. I know most of have better Q than most any joint. Excepting brother Joe. Doesn't Easy Rider magazine have a bash around there? Hopefull that I can attend the competition in Mason City this year. Sounds like some of the Kanfo will be attending.

Good to have you Smokebuzz... I'll be cooking at 3 contests in Iowa this year, so you'll have to stop in and have a brew or 6. We'll be at the BBQlossal, Marshalltown, and Mason City.....

horizon is made in OK. , i think it may be relateted to Oklahoma Joe cookers ? , its a heavey SOB, can,t wait to cook on it! we got a dealer down the road in Ankeny, they had a open house/cook a bunch a meat and the guy that owns Horizon was there, great fella.

i,ll be at several of the cookoffs ,spectater , beer tester, and social adviser.

Welcome aboard Smokebuzz, enjoy what you learn and share what you know, it's what we do here. What part of Iowa are you from? My mother was raised in a little town SE of Des Moines;Melcher, IA. That is where we would go every summer when I was growing up for vacation. Also have many relatives in and around the Des Moines area along with Fort Dodge and Clear Lake.

Howdy, Smokebuzz.....Horizon cookers are made by some of the folks that used to make the Oklahoma Joe's cookers, back when they were 1/4" steel and not mass-factory produced. Nice cookers.....did you pick it up at Hawgeyes? Great folks.....enjoy the Brethren.....
