View Full Version : Cattle Call In Kentucky

So I was looking for smokers and plans to build my own. Came across this sight from a Google.com search for photos. Being from Kentucky I wanted to use a Bourbon Barrel and build my own smoker. I saw a few on the forum. Some UDS and then some Wine Barrels.

I have started the build on my own. I have the barrel sanded and stained. I have started gathering hardware including a chrome tail pipe extension that I had for the stack.

Recently had two portable burn pits rust out so I have a couple of heavy duty grates to use for the fire box support as I plan on using charcoal along with some safety steps to make sure I don't burn it up.

Will keep you posted on how it turns out including a photo or two. Look forward to learning tips, recipes, and the like.

God bless and thanks.
