Ill be headed to Conroe, tx to pick up my new pit sometime this week or next. I'll be coming from Texarkana on 59 so point me in the right direction for some good Q.

Slight detour from the 59 route but still a pretty direct shot from Texarkana... Stanley's Famous Pit Bar-B-Que in Tyler has some killer Q. Joseph's Riverport Barbecue in Jefferson, Bob's BBQ (Henderson) and Corkscrew BBQ in Spring (a little past Conroe) are all solid and pretty much en route.

Corkscrew is the closest to Lonestar Grillz. So, I guess it really depends on your schedule. They typically have a line and sell out daily. Stanley's, Joseph's and Corkscrew were all Texas Monthly Top 50 joints this year. While a subjective list, its a pretty big thing around here.

I'd keep an eye on Killen's BBQ. He's in Pearland and doing pop ups somewhat frequently right now. From what I've seen it looks really good.
