The new engineer team just finished Golden-DOG, 12 VDC, single probe thermostat, PID variable voltage. basic function is same as old version.
But new DOG uses three separate plugs for probe, input, and outlet.

people suggest that I change a new name other than DOG.

I am thinking
BBQ ATC--Golden-Junior for DOG, single probe, 12 VDC
BBQ ATC--Golden-Senior for WOLF, dual probes, 12 VDC
BBQ ATC--Golden-Premier for LION, dual probes, 12 VDC, with WIFI

Kitchen ATC-Golden-Fresh, 80-260 VAC,single probe
Kitchen ATC-Golden-Sopho, 80-260 VAC, dual probes, with WIFI

What is your suggestion

woodpelletsmoker

DOG has variable voltage outlet in PID mode, the fan will run faster or slower other than simply on/off. Also you can define maximum outlet by your self according to size of your pit. DOG has 4 temperature stages, great for ramp down/up.
I am proudly that DOG is better than Guru Nano and Auber.
Retail price of DOG,10 CFM fan, AC/DC adapter, Fan Adapter A for offset or C for UDS,
Normal Retail price $158.
Price to BBQ-brethren US$128

If you can post testimonials on major BBQ forums, Youtube, facebook, twitter, with detailed pictures and videos, you will get FULL refund. That is I will refund you $128 in cash. There are 20 pieces for BBQ-Brethren members. First come, first win

If you can post testimonials on major BBQ forums, facebook, twitter, with detailed pictures, but without videos, you will get another set of DOG. There are 20 pieces for BBQ-Brethren members. First come, first win.

If you can post testimonials after above 40 IDs, you will get free probe/fan/power adapter. I will decide how many I will give you depending on your testimonials.

Last time, some IDs simply wrote a very short testimonials without photos and nor video and asked for refund. I did refund them. It will not be accepted this time.

Good or bad, I simply need you to tell truth to other brethren.

BBQ shops/retailers are wanted. Quantity price to be discussed

I have a day dream.
Buying a motel with big open air area in Fort Worth.
send my smokers and controllers there.
make the place as a BBQ paradise.
all BBQ fans can live in the motel, and play BBQ.
organize BBQ competition regularly, every weekend, every season, yearly
Free room for competitors from other states.

How about this:
QControl

with different models being:

The name Qcontrol is easy to decipher exactly what the product does and is intended for while also being a lot easier to remember than a bunch of numbers that sounds more like a radio station than a controller.

QMaster only has 1 less letter than QControl but doesn't have the same descriptive qualities. Plus, master sounds like it could be a different model nam along the lines of junior, senior, performer. Out of all the options listed, QControl is your best option, IMHO. The name not only describes what it does, but is also easy to remember.....:-P

I myself never own a CyberQ nor DigiQ.
I just read a post from Q-talk and find BBQ Guru adjusts maximum blow manually by fan vent. A fan has fixed capacity of 10 CFM, if you blow 5 CFM to pit, you waste the other 5 CFM.

In my GOLDEN-DOG, sooner new name QMaster-Junior, you can adjust maximum blow by programming a parameter of Hdc, say 10%, 11%, 50%,61%. The fan will run slower accordingly.
If you use a battery in outdoor other than AC/DC adapter, this feature saves a lot of battery.
But Golden-DOG is so weaker than Guru in the market.
I must need professionals in marketing and sales

Pole D
10-09-2013, 09:04 AM
One thing that will help marketing is getting your product out and delivered.

No offense intended but this thread was started just over two weeks ago and you still haven't provided a paypal link. Also waiting for the new version of wgrill.

My point is once you get the product out then you can get testimonials and customers can show the products to their friends. Every time I cook I have someone ask me about the equipment I use. They usually end up buying something I use. Might be the maverick 732 or maybe an iq110 or in the future it could be the wgrill and QMaster-junior.

At last QMaster-Junior is ready, which is an exact clone or copy of Golden-DOG.
But DOG has a program hidden inside, which can not be copied.
In general QMaster-Junior is good, but the display temperature just swings a little.
It jumps between 224,225, occasionally 226F while real temperature is 225F.
We did the clone in hope to finish it in 2 weeks to save time.
Now the result is much longer time than newly designed.
We also have begin to redesign Junior. Hope it can be ready in 4 weeks.
New design will have exactly same outlook as the cloned.
Now we just plan to sell this cloned QMaster-Junior at $58 to all BBQ Brethren here.
Refund offer is not applied for this cloned Junior.
When redesigned Junior is ready, we will continue our offer of testimonial in exchange of refund.

By the way, redesign of Golden-WOLF is ready, it is just under test.
Hope commercial model will be ready in 4 weeks

1. Qmaster-Junior, ready for delivery , everything is good except a swing display. Say if true temperature is 225F, it will dsplay 223,224,225,226F.
Due to this small error I am selling it at $58

2.Redesigned Junior will stable display. and price will be $128. and if you post testimonals, you will get refunded

3. QMaster-Junior is former Golden-DOG, and QMaster-Senior is former Golden- WOLF

I ordered a qmaster 3 weeks ago and have not recieved anything yet. I sent a pm to Wang and he just refunded my money no answer to my pm's i sent and I guess no qmaster. I am very confused and wondering if this is a safe place to be ordering from.................. My PMs were just asking were the qmaster was...Wondering about the customer service.

I have not ordered one of these YET(new job situation) but I can tell you I have ordered many things from China and 3 weeks is pretty normal time frame when you consider what it has to go through. I have ordered in the past a different ATC from here in the USA and it took 20 days.

As for being a safe place to buy. I dont know the situation you have had but just by me reading peoples comments and reviews on here and Ebay of his items I wouldnt be afraid to order from him, and I would be aware it will take time there are hoops that have to be gone through.

If sending you money through paypal and asking for a tracking number is me being a hard buyer I am ever confused. That is standard practice in the US. I had not received the item that I paid for and you told me it would be here in 2 weeks so I sent a follow up email asking where it was after 3 weeks I apologize if that is not understandable or being "hard buyer" but to just refund my money and not respond to my PM just because you did not like the questions is unacceptable. On a leap of faith I was willing to give your product a shot now I think I will stick more local products where I can find better customer service.
Sincerely, Disappointed Customer

Even though I am native chinese and never been in States, my English is reasonable good enough to understand question of delivery status and tracking no. and many buyers asked and will ask the same question.
A few buyers posted above asked the same question.
I am adviced not argue with customers.
But I can not help to clarify that I am not a hard seller.
The true story is more than a tracking no. Someone simply forgot the key point in purpose.
I will close my mouth on this issue immediately from now on.

And another thing I noticed, I ordered it with the pipe thread adapter, was told it was 1" pipe, but it's only 3/4" pipe. I bought a 1" pipe nipple and ball valve, no problem, I can still use it, but I'll have to buy a 3/4" to 1" pipe bushing now.

In the US, Pipe is measured ID (inside diameter), tubing is measured OD (outside diameter).

There are so many types of pipe, tubing and hoses, it's can be confusing.

Attention please:
When manual mode, withdraw the probe out of your smoker.
The fan is so efficiently, you can very easily over burn the probe.
In automatic control model, you can trust the controller fully.
The thermostat is more loyal to its job than your personal care by your hands and eyes.

I go the first model of the Junior, which I guess is a clone of the old Dog model. I set it for 205 F and it went to about 212. Then I raised it to 220 and it has gone to 230F. I expect it to settle down at the 225 mark and stay there, if it's anything like the old one. The Dog used to over shoot also, but settled down quite a bit after I used it a number of times. I like that the Junior has a heavier wire to the fan, and it seems to be more secure on the fan. The plugs are nice, as is the new case. The power input and the fan out put use the same plug, and I wondered if I might do any damage by plugging the power into the fan output? I'm just trying it out to be sure it works OK for my brisket cook tomorrow, but so far it is looking good. I would recommend it.

Senior is ready, LION is indeed Senior + WIFI
Technically it is not hard to add WIFI, but to find a smart way to let every one can set up WIFI is big challenge. The best is plug and play with minimum input.
Now we are trying 3 different designs.

I have played one prototype, it is great.
It has both WIFI and CAT5 port
But commercial model is expected in March.

I have had a chance to check the temp setting.

I used a pan of water and I suspended both probes from the iGrill, the Taylor, and the QMaster, so they didn't touch the bottom.

The starting temp was about 47*, I heated the water to boiling, and all 4 stayed within 3 to 5 degrees all the way from 47* to 212*. The QMaster seemed to respond to changes quicker and was normally a degree or two higher.

The pb setting is 006, so that may be why the temp on the QMaster was running a few degrees higher.

Also looking back at the graph from the iGrill, shows small temp spikes, I noticed the pid setting are different from default. P=40 default is 30, I=90 default is 240, and D=0 default is 60.

I may reset these to default and try again, I have a pork loin to smoke today.
