This was my first comp ever (Willy's Q Shack), and it was great!

The folks that host this event put on a great contest. We had no expectations of winning or placing, just the simple goals of having fun, make our time line, meet new folks and not finish DAL.

We had fun, we're tired but we had fun and I learned a lot. We met our timeline in all categories! We met met some great folks and want to thank Tasty Licks, Shady Crew and Wlburs Revenge! You guys rock! It was great to be surrounded by some great teams like those mentioned that offered answers and support. I can't say enough about them and it was easy to see why they all carried home some hardware, congrats!

Finally, we didn't finish DAL! We were 37th out of 71 teams. I screwed up big on the brisket and sliced it way to early.

Congrats to all who walked and got calls! Can't wait for Shewsbury in two weeks!

Congratulations to everyone who walked but the biggest shout out has to go to Steve and 5-0 BBQ for first in whole hog. For so many reasons, that was Legendary!

From an organizers standpoint this year went about as smooth as a contest can, it was a great time and I am already looking forward to next year.
