Hey all, I'm Lou and I have been smokin and grillin since my dad taught me back in 1970..... I'm still using the Char Grill 940 that he bought back in that timeframe - it's gotta be getting close to 40 years old!! (on its 3rd ash pan and needs another one but thats all it's ever needed except it has needed new wood trays for awhile now...) Thought I had a good technique down till I started lookin on this site for a new smoker..... guess I still have alot to learn! Now I am trying to decide on a new smoker or refurb and upgrade the 940 with a new ash pan, lower vents, better sealing overall and some heat deflector/water tray capability. Maybe I will start a thread in the Q forum to dicuss those options....
