Check out the US premiere of Diva Q's new show BBQ Crawl. In episodes 1&2 airing tonight she visits Texas and Arkansas hot spots like J Mueller, McClards, Stubbys and Southside Market and then competes at the Bedford Blues BBQ Festival.

Great show. Reminds me of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives(which I'm a big fan of) with a dash of season 1 of BBQ Pitmasters(you know, the best season) throw in for good measure.

Holy crap that tamale spread at Mclards looks awesome on second episode.

We enjoyed it. Definitely better than we thought it would be. We also liked how they mixed comps in with restaurant visits.

Loved it, but...
I am prejudiced.

I had the pleasure/honor of meeting Danielle at the Best of the Best a couple of years during the early days of that comp.
She is a fantastic lady and an awesome cook.

She puts her own spin on the "travel log" visits to the BBQ places to make it entertaining.

I wish her and her family the best!!!

Looking forward to the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed the shows, and the Arkansas part reminded me of how delicious Petit Jean meats are! After discovering them on a vacation to Petit Jean Mountain, every Ozark vacation ended with a cooler full of their hams to take back to Texas. Best hams ever!

I'll have to catch it on re run. I didn't watch it because her persona on BBQ Pitmasters really turned me off. I realize some people say the same thing about Myron, but she really rubbed me the wrong way on the tv show. May be totally different in person...

Me and my wife are on the other end of the spectrum, I enjoyed how she was/is but my wife loved it. She loved the fact that a woman could be up there with the guys and be just as successful if not more, and talk chit too.

I wont say DivaQ is the reason Tracy(my wife) got into comp BBQ but I can honestly say that Diva is one of the reasons Tracy likes to watch BBQ on TV.

I met Danielle at a comp last fall and I'd say to anyone who asked: Don't write her off b/c of how she is portrayed on TV. The woman I met was very kind, considerate, and helpful to anyone who needed it. Definitely passionate about great BBQ and I think the new show does a good job of capturing this. PLUS, Another BBQ show on TV to follow that shows some real competitions! :whoo::hungry:

Love the show and the concept; however, I can't believe that she is doing a BBQ crawl without stopping in North Carolina!!! Maybe she is saving the BEST for Season 2!

I didn't get to see this right away because I was in Canada, of all places, but after watching it, I really enjoyed it. I was worried about another BBQ tour show, but this one really pulls it off. It's evident Danielle loves what she's doing, and it's what makes the show work so well. Can't wait for the rest of the episodes!

I've watched the first two episodes a couple of times. Danielle is, in one word, AWESOME! She truly is passionate about her Que, and this show portrays that passion very well. I have the pleasure of competing with her here in WNY and its always great to have her there. I've learned a lot by talking to her. Let's not forget about the other half of her team, her husband Vlad who is just as cool as she is! Truly wonderful people.

Thanks for post showing the Travelandescape site. Very cool.

I must say, it looks like you were not very excited about the Mississippi stop and the alligator. Lol....

Again, your programs are very refreshing and cool to watch.
