Going to Rochester MN on friday. AM appointment and should be free after 11:00
I'm looking for suggestions.

These are my choices:
Buffalo Wild Wings
Famous Dave’s Bar-B-Que
John Hardy's Bar-B-Q
Roscoe’s Root Beer & Ribs

Ronnel recomended Roscoe's to me once. Haven't had the chance to try it. I've driven by John Hardy's and they definately have a wood fire going in the morning. I'm tempted to try Famous Dave's just to see if this one is as bad as the one in Nesconset has been reported.

The best part is we may have time to visit the Spam museum in Austin on the way back!

The only one I've tried is Roscoe's. No bad, but they oversauced everything, so ask them to hold the sauce.

Didn't get a chance to stop friday, but did on the follow up appointment today.
Let me preface by saying that a year ago I would have declared this place to be the best barbecue I've ever had. But after learning so much from "The Brethren", I am just spoiled by how good my q is. Not humble at all. It is just so.

John Hardees Bar-b-q
Rochester, Minnesota.
Service was top notch. 18 tables with 3 waitresses running their tails off.
Food was on the table less than 5 minutes after ordering.
I had shredded pork (a little dry, but still good) and sliced beef (the menu did not specify brisket, and the grain looked a little too tight for brisket to me) This was very good, too good to add sauce.
Fried okra and taters were top notch. The garlic bread was fantastic.
I have to say, I'm not a big sauce fan, but there's was realy good. Wish they had if for sale to go.
It was a little crowded, but they have an outdoor deck that should be fun next summer.

Three of us had more than we could eat and the tab was under $30.00.

I'll definately "hit it" again. Way better than Arby's.

And Racer, No time for the museum today but got a follow up trip at the end of April. I'll take pics. What size shirt?
