The famous rib shootout in our city, 120 entries this year, 100% payback, we had alot of fun! Some pics of the event
Ass kickin mobile ready to go
Friday morning, 8am, 10th team there, setup ready to roll!
Some ribbers
Hand picked briskets from by buddy Bradley. Lots of marbling
Kinda like a ribeye it's so marbled. Don't need no stinkin wagyu!
Right before the wrap in butcher paper
Sorry for the shoddy pic, phone had brisket juice all over it. Right before slicing
And the results!!!! Oh yeah baby!
1st chicken
3rd ribs
1st brisket
Grand champion :cool2:
Had 28 pts overall on a reverse 10 scoring system. Our best finish in a big sanctioned field yet. I wanted the trifecta bad!!!!!! Oh we'll, this will due!

Yeah man you shoulda stopped by. We had a great time. There were lots of people jaw jappin to me before the cookoff. I heard it all, "your reign is over!" "You at a big sanction now boy, you ain't gonna do squat" etc etc. Just smiled every time at em on my walk up to get the $$$$ and the trophy. It's funny to me because years ago, we used to get our ass stomped and we still had a good time during and afterwards, but these guys wouldn't even talk to us anymore. When something like this happens to them you can definitely figure out the "loosers" and the ones that "just happened to loose". The dance was fun. My BBQ mentor Jason got 1st ribs, 5th brisket and 6th chicken RGC. Just can't seem to beat this clown in ribs lol!

Glad things turned out well for you all. Keep me informed of upcoming competitions just so I can visit the show. I live in the Tomball area so as long as it isn't too far I will make the trip and enjoy the aroma :)
