Smokin in Steele in Owatonna, MN on May 31, June 1 is proud to announce a collaboration with USA BBQ Championship in Laughlin NV in November.

Don Laughlin, developer of Laughlin NV and owner of Riverside Casino that hosts the USA BBQ Championship, was born and raised right here in Steele County MN.

Through the generosity of Mr. Laughlin and the co operation of Ron Cates from Smoke on the Water - organizer of USA BBQ Championship, we are now able to enhance our prize package.

The Grand Champion of Smokin in Steele will receive a free entry into the USA BBQ Championship plus have a free room at Riverside Casino during the event.

That is in addition to our own cash payout, ticket to the American Royal Invitational, and a bung to be MN rep. for the Jack.

Those of you who know us already are aware that the top tier of KCBS teams already come to compete here. But it is not just the top tier, it is also the teams that compete against them frequently.

We are limiting registrations to 70 teams and are about 5 weeks til contest.
The time to register is now while we still have room.

So what is the big deal about the USA BBQ Championship? It is a $ 100,000
contest and their grand champ gets a new truck! And that my friends is a very big deal.

So come have fun with us this spring and compete for a chance for free entry and lodging at one the biggest contests in all of BBQ.

Thanks for the kind words Joe.

We like to think that we are the contest where beginners become winners.

Both you and Justin of Lucky's Q both had your first grand championship with us.

That is very special for us and I know it is special to the both of you.

Looking forward to a great contest this year.

Hi Dan,
We have talked several times in the past.

And yes, it is in your back yard so to speak.

We would love to have you come join the party. You would feel right at home.

There is plenty going on - top notch Blues Fest - modified garden tractor pull - helicopter rides- Kids Q- to keep you interested and entertained while you compete.

If you have questions or issues, just ask.
