Congrats and you had your son to hang/help you. Forget the scores, that was a great time. There are times when I can not drag my kid outside away from the computer, TV, Video Games. I remember when playing meant doing notheing more than running around outside with the friends, but don't get me started.

Congrats again on a job well done to all the Brethren.

Congratulations, again, Jimmy! Like I said yesterday; you ought to use one cooker more often!! Good job by Kevin and Mike, too.

It was great having John (JohnMcD348 ) 8) hanging with us Friday evening and we really appreciated breakfast delivery on Saturday morning. Thanks John.

It was a nice cook off. They raised a lot of money for the Boys and Girls Club and we all got a great steak dinner Friday night..Frank has lined up some great sponsors.

Tim's on the road back home now after dropping the cooker off at my place about 1 pm. I'm sure he'll post as soon as he gets the van unloaded.

Third is nothing to be ashamed of. Good job! Your turn is coming, and when it happens, it will be that much sweeter.

Finally home and "pooped".

Great cookoff. Brand new power and water grids with lots and lots of each readily available.
"Cooks and Sponsors Dinner" on Fri--what can I say? 330+ meals of Ribeye steak (1.25" plus and done to perfection), Baked Potatoe, Salad, Rolls, and free beer/wine! It's a "Southern thing"
Damn hard act to follow though, even down here!

Great to cook with all the Brethren teams--Jimmy--ya got it "going" now  Proud of you Bro. Good kiddo ya got there too.

Thanks a million to John--a great individual and he "hang" with us from start to finish! Lots of good company and help!

For once, Dave and I were pleased with all four entries. No "weak sisters" for once and that is a milestone for us

Thanks Jay
The cooker worked real good! I could use about 5 more wink:wink:wink

I got about 4hrs of sleep and the GuRu on the medium SpiceBox helped me hold 200 something from 9:00pm - 5:00am with very little worries. Two briskets on the top shelf and two butts on the middle shelf all night. The cooker cranked up to 300 in about 20min to power cook some chicken from 10:00 - 11:00 while the ribs took a break in the hot box. I let it cool down to about 250 to finish things off. Using one cooker has forced me to manage my time better and that has been a good thing so far. The judges seem to like my pork basted in brisket drippings.

O and by the way I only used 2/3s of one 20lb bag of old kingsford and about 10 chunks of select wood for smoke.

Hey Congrats Guys on the walks. It was great fun seeing everything from the "other side". I won't say it got my juices flowin for the backyard but yesterday for the ProBowl, I did 3 slabs of ribs, Stuffed peppers, Chicken(Boneles/Skinless for the wife and 3 fatties on the BSKD. Woulda started earlier with a Brisket but I didn't have the rack space, gonna fix that today if the order line is open.
As for Breakfast, it was my pleasure. Thank you guys for the free education. Jimmy, I'm sorry I didn't get to your spot. Had I known you were there alone, I woulda brought you and your boy something too. Next time the comp comes through my neck of the woods agin, and if I'm able to finagle work, I'll do it again if ya'll need me.
My friend Harold was kidding me last night about being a "little Sister" for the BBQ circuit. After he bit into one of my ribs last night, he looked at me and told me not to stop.
