I cant get the KCBS website to load, anyone know what is up with that? Trying to find the results for Heatin Up the Bricks at Kearney NE.

yea it's up I just joined KCBS for the first time about an hour ago. and was able to go thru the whole process.

Outages happen, especially when the weather is extreme.

No problems connecting to KCBS.us from here at the moment. (1AM Tuesday)

It doesn't have to be that way these days. Failover is pretty simple to achieve making the weather irrelevant unless a storm takes down the entire country!

Simple? Perhaps. (Though I've seen 100 server clusters go offline due to simple problems)
Inexpensive? Not so much. (Compared to single datacenter solutions)

I'd rather not see the Society's funds go to pay for distributed cloud hosting to avoid a few hours downtime each year. It ain't mission critical: I can wait till tomorrow to look up contest results.
