Who's up for an true Winter cook-off? February 17th, Des Plaines, IL is having their annual Winter Burn-off at River Rand Bowling alley. Categories include:

Sausage - 1:30 pm
Chicken - 2:00 pm
Ribs - 2:30 pm
Pork Loin/Tenderloin - 3:00 pm
& Chili cook-off 3:00 pm

Entry before Jan. 31st - $100
Entry after Jan 31st - $125

Sorry about that! I jumped on it (burnoff) when I saw the announcement, and had already paid when I saw your class dates. I think....or it might be chemo-brain?:crazy:

I did get my questions answered. Looking to enjoy the nice cold weather cooking with friends and prepping for the upcoming bbq season. Just trying to iron out some new recipes.

Get him on a good day (for me that is) and you will find it on the curb on garbage day. They are versitle cookers, I do have to say that. And a big congrats on your first comp back Dann, you did well.

Good talking to both you and Pat, and all the others we hadn't seen since St Charles last year.

It really was great being able to just load and unload all the stuff, and be back doing what we love. I truly was happy just finishing turn ins on time. Finishing in the top third was icing!

Looking forward to this season!

BTW, 10th place sausage looked great, but it tasted awful!:what:

The one bad thing wad, I forgot my chili so couldn't defend my first place from last year
