I was curious if anyone knows what type of temp probs Munchin Hogs @ The Hilton use. I was set up at a comp a year ago and was curious what make and model of thermometer system they use.

they have been doing it long enough that I am going to say thermoworks without ever seeing them use it.

I'm pretty sure they are thermoworks. We do the same thing. Our pits look like we are doing weird science experiments Saturday mornings. :becky:

Rob uses Thermoworks... These exact ones, http://www.thermoworks.com/products/handheld/thermaplus.html

with the K oven cooking probes. He has 4-5 handheld units and many probes (7-8+).

Just a thought, if you want to read food temp with a thermocouple, that's what the Stoker uses. If you want to read lots of temps, it might be more cost effective to use that.
