Capital City Cook-Off ?

I have been hearing a rumor that the Capital City Cook-Off (Jefferson City MO) is dead. There is nothing on the website about 2013. Anyone know whats going on?

Still doing the Buck a Bone fundraiser on Friday night for the Learning Center but the KCBS Event is off for this year. The primary issue was loss of some sponsors and the overall cost of running the event. We paid very well and the loss of sponsorship impacted that and we did not want to reduce the payouts. We may be back in 2014, but we want to have a quality event.

It was/is a great event and I hope it comes back. The prize money was one of the largest payouts around.
