Seems like I say this every year, but... WOW, what a year! Please help me in congratulating all of these GREAT TEAMS!!! I'm so humbled by these team's efforts, I'll just let the numbers do the talking...

2012 Oakridge BBQ Year-End Summary

187 Contests
30 States
9 Sanctioning Bodies
65 Top Ten Brisket Calls
93 Top Ten Pork Calls
93 Top Ten Rib Calls
106 Top Ten Chicken Calls
12 Reserve Grand Champions!
20 Grand Champions!!
493 Total Top Ten Calls!!!

As you may know, we only count top ten calls at professional sanctioned contests and only calls where Oakridge BBQ rub was used. We don't pad our numbers with backyard contests or with calls where sponsored teams used rubs other than our own.

On top of all that, you've got these AWESOME individual team accomplishments...

Team IAB 30 BBQ rated #25 in the Nation in KCBS overall points!
Team IAB 30 BBQ rated #9 in the Nation in KCBS points for ribs!
Both teams IAB 30 BBQ and R&R BBQ invited to the Jack Daniels Invitational!
Team IAB 30 BBQ awarded a 10th place Chicken call at The Jack!
Team Can't Quit Smokin' crowned for the second year in a row as the South Carolina State BBQ Champion (this has NEVER been done before!!)
Team Unknown BBQ awarded 6rd Place in the FBA Team of the Year!
and many others I'm sure I'm forgetting...

CONGRATULATIONS to all these great teams!!! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap

Mike does a great job of getting us what we need, when we need it.

He also listens to reports from the field and strives to make his products better.

Great job Mike!

Discovered your products recently. With my first comp coming in a couple of weeks, I can't wait to see how my new Oakridge assisted receipes are judged. I know the practice has been real good and all who I have shared with during practice have given rave reviews.

while i may not have lived up to my expectations last season, mike and oakridge products sure did.

they really are "state of the art' formulas.

Congrats Mike! Oakridge products are great and we are testing some for the upcoming season. Trying to get buy-in from the rest of the team to use them this year in comps.

Interesting factoid...

Since we started our Sponsorship program mid-way through the 2010 contest season, our teams have amassed a grand total of 728 Top Ten calls...

It is likely (knock on wood) that we'll eclipse 1,000 Top Ten calls this season....

Oakridge always gets a GC call from whomever I serve it to.

Congrats, Mike! I wish you nothing but continued success.

Sounds like a solid year. Got my Oakridge "Black Ops" brisket rub in the other day. I'll be trying it on a few practice briskets this weekend! Maybe I can add to that list this season.

Thanks! We hope you do!

But, just to be clear, these numbers are only from our officially sponsored teams. They do not contain any awards (top-ten calls, RGCs, GCs, etc.) won by individual teams not sponsored by Oakridge BBQ, but there are many... :becky:

Yes! I'm not sponsored, but my ribs took first place with 180 at Riverfest in Decatur this year using Mike's rub. I'm a big fan.
