Maybe you guy's can help me, I can't seem to figure out the best name for my team. I am from Georgia and so my original name I had was Georgia smoke, but since then I have moved to Texas and I didn't know if keeping that name would be stupid. So I came up with,"slim pickings bbq," because my nickname used to be slim. Anyways if I could get some opinions that would be great. Thanks.

I like it. Maybe you could get Slim Pickin's to write you a theme song.

Just use the same name and put below it, "We're not from Texas but we got here as fast as we could."

don't overthink it... the name needs to be something you like, not what others suggest.

I like keeping your original name.... unless you're embarassed to let others know where you are originally from. if anything it would be a conversation starter between you and new teams.

Both sound good to me. I would just suggest that you see if these names are in use.

I think a team name should reflect something about the team or the the person starting it. Beleive or not, but an old Georga boy named Myron Mixon gave us our name.

PS +1 for georgia smoke

I agree, it is not only an ice breaker with other teams, but also could get the public involved in conversation.

If you were happy with your team name in GA, keep it.

I really appreciate all the feedback guys, after reading what some of you guys have said I believe I will keep Georgia Smoke. Hopefully I will see some of you out on the circuit. Thanks again.

Whatever name you choose, for God's sake, be original and don't steal something someone else came up with, not even similar.
