Just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself as a new member as of yesterday. The name is Bob and I live here in Sunny Chula Vista California. I am southern born and bred and love to smoke, Q and grill. When its raining (not often here) I can whip up some good stuff in the kitchen. I originally hail from Fernandina Beach, Florida.Retired from the US Navy after 25 years in 2001 and I work for the Navy as a defense contractor specializing in information technology.

I have enjoyed reading the blogs and the recomendations for Mods to my new Bandera over the past couple of days. Used the Black Diamond for many years and have leanred to use without mods....imagine how good the grub will be using the newly learned techniques from fellow Brethrens.....I look forward to eventually meeting some of you and quite possibly joining the competition gig which I have yet to do......Take care and have a great New Year!!!! JYD (Bob)

Welcome Bob,

Along with making some great Q out there u got THEE best place in the world for breakfast....

Family House Of Pancakes at 562 Broadway. Don't ever try to eat one of their 6 egg omletes alone.

My wifes uncle lives just South of you. He spent 20+ years in the Navy, then 20+ years as a civilian cunsultant for the Navy specializing in crating stuff.

Now he spends most of his time bowling down at the base.

You guys fell for this one.

He's not "Bob" as you all call him.

I found out, using the internet, his real name:

Langston Douglas Olin Jashawn Yoder Dinkus

He's the first Pentecostal-Catholic-Hebrew-Yiddish-Dinkus in California

Welcome LDOJYD
