Hi,
Let me start by saying that I did a search and couldn't find it covered. If I missed it and a mod would just point me in the right direction and delete this thread, that would be great.
I was wondering if someone could provide an overview of MiM for the perspective of the competitors and judges as well as cooks that come down to check it out.
For example, what are the categories and when are they judged? Is there blind judging in addition to the onsite judging? When does the judging happen? Can you sign up to judge and if so, are there certain requirements?
If you are just visiting, but are judges or competitors from the Brethren, what would you recommend doing and avoiding?
How many Brethren compete there? Is the environment the same as most other competitions (ie. stop by, say hi, bring some snacks or liquid refreshments but stay away near turn-in times and don't overstay your welcome)?
Thanks!
Eric
