Does anyone know when/if this event will be held next year. Last couple of years it was in early April.

I think we will drive down next Sat. and check the place out and participate in the People's Choice judging.

Do you plan on going?

I'm not sure that's gonna happen next year, cause the cancelled Smoketoberfest from a couple months ago, has been rescheduled and renamed the Memorial Day Pignic. Since Eric at Mason Dixon organizes both these events, I just figured he wouldn't do two events within a month or two of each other! I do not know this for sure, so don't take it for the gospel truth. Check with him....

I just talked to Eric at Mason-Dixon and he told me he plans to have Go Naked the first wknd. in April.

He told me he is going to mix it up a bit this year. In addition to the rules from last year he is going to add a "No sauce" rule - only rub. Plus he is thinking of adding a steak category. So that would be ribs, chicken and steak.

He plans to update the website after the competition this weekend.

I'm glad you checked on that, and didn't go on what I thought! Glad to hear he's having it again, as it was a fun time last year. I'll keep my assumptions to myself from now on. :icon_blush:

Looks like wings, chicken and ribs, only this year there is "no sauce allowed".

We are assuming for now that it'll be consistent with the prior events and the two mains of chicken and ribs .... seems to be mixed reports though ... Of course even after launching the website Eric has to keep us guessing!

Just looked ..... if you go by the application ..... Chicken and Ribs ... Peoples choice of legs .... What happened to the steak rumor ???
