We are travelling to San Antonio Texas next weekend for a graduation at Lackland AFB.

I am looking to experience excellent Texas BBQ...I only have 3 days, so I need something close.

Any recommendations?

Harmon's BBQ is one of my favorites in Texas. It is on the other side of town from Lackland, near Randolph Air Force Base, but well worth the effort in my opinion.

The original Rudy's in Leon Springs just north of SA on I10 is reputed to be good.

It's just a little over an hour to City Market in Luling and about another 20 minutes on up the road to Lockhart and Smitty's, Kreuz' Market, and Black's. That's real close not to make at least one of them.
