Controller, Fan, AC/DC adapter are placed in a transparent plastic box. A corrugated SS pipe connects fan and smoker.
The corrugated SS pipe is connected to different pits by different adapter A B D.
System is Rainproof
Diameter of SS box is 1" and length is 3' feet

People joked my first WOLF with Aluminum chassis as backyard science hobby.
I paid about US$1000 just for mould of plastic housing.
Also I add a feature of Alarm Enable/Disable button, which is really neighborhood friendly.

Have you tested the air flow through the pipe? Way back when I did my review of my first lion I did a similar modification with a dishwasher drain hose. The air flow is sufficient for lower temp cooks but it just could not push enough air to keep temps real high for a hot cook.

I have a small smoker, it is hot enough.
I do not try on big smoker.

The fan is fastened inside the plastic box by a small bolt/screw, you can dismount it from plastic box easily, then you can mount the fan directly on your smoker without the corrugated pipe when you do high temperature grilling.
I am sure high temp. grilling takes short time. If it is raining, you will not do grilling.

For low&slow the air flow shall be big enough.

The fan side has a fan Adapter C, with 1" male thread.
The corrugated side also has the same 1" male thread.
So it is same to screw the fan directly to smoker, or corrugated pipe to smoker

Good move adding the Beep function I think a lot of people wanted that.

I have been away with work and arrived home today to find this waiting for me.
I am very happy with it so far, I haven't cooked anything just lit some charcoal, chucked the probe in, set it for 100c and walked away. It held the temp really well.

The Stainless steel pipe has the rather nice accidental feature of helping extinguish the charcoal after the unit is turned of even without a damper.

Maybe its the default setting but I thought it was pretty good of Wang to set my unit to Celsius and I was very impressed that he took the time to check what electrical socket style NZ uses and include the right cord. I was expecting to have to use an adapter from US or China style plug.

I hope to be able to have a good read through Toronto's manual, give this unit a good test out and then post a review.

Last year I bought a Golden Lion with the stainless steel box. If you remember I had an issue where the lion does not fit too well inside the box, and the lid does not close properly, and the bottom has holes in it which does not make it rain proof.

If I send you the old box, will you send me the me plastic one with the Adapter A?

If there are no holes on the bottom, how can fresh air come in.
Holes on bottom can not enter rain if you insert it in smoker.
The air inlet must be some distance from ground.
If necessary you can raise your smoker a little from ground
the SS box is not big enough, but it works.
I can send you a corrugated SS pipe free, but you need to pay shipping cost.
You can buy plastic box locally.

It is very easy and cheap in China to buy Li-ion battery.
I realise that some of you guys use lead acid battery, which is big and becomes weak and weak. It seems to me that most of you find difficult to buy Li-ion battery
As it is not allowed to send battery abroad via post office, I am suppling AC/Dc adapter now.
