Where to start :?:  Well my Name is Kerry Weeks, folks call me blue or spook pick your choose:rolleyes:. I live in Fort Worth TX and I am a retired MP from the Navy.

I started smoking back in 92 on a trusty Brinkman smoker, got another after moving around for several years as there reliable an really cheap.
For most of the last year I have been private contracting over here in Afghanistan working a bomb detection dog:eek: , and have finaly made enuff $$$ to be able to buy a decent Smoker. I have had my eyes on the bandera for several years now and when I get home in Dec I am going to get either that or the BKSD (really really leaning to the dera) And thats me in a nutshell LOL a whole lot crazy for enjoying the job I do:cool: .

Greetings Blue! Be careful what you tell these guys. I got hit when I came back from Bagram a little while back.

Keep your head down, stay on the pavement, and get ready for some q.

Thanks for the Warm welcome, few of ya asked a question in there and since the comp was drt (Dead right there) I had to wait a bit to get the answers out. I am currently working a Yellew Lab, and unfortunatley, no I dont get to bring her home. But some one else will get a good dog to help them get thru the ruff times here.

Ill be home in 3 weeks :) Wife is going to buy the Dera an have store load it in back of my truck, LOL lil heaviy lifting for when I get home :) got nother friend working on the baffles for me too :) sooooo I should be in good shape when I get there.

With BBQ it ain't the "smoker" that is important it is the "smoker". Translation: It is not the pit that is important it is the pit master. However there is a lot of joy in getting a new pit and learning its ways. Welcome aboard and I look forward to learning from your 14 years of experience.
