Hello Everyone,

We recently started a rib team a few years ago and have competed in local and out of state events and have won a few awards on the way. We are looking to turn this from a side business into full time rib business.

I am asking for any general comments and helpful hints you can give us to help create a tour schedule for the year. How do you tell which events have the greatest probability of foot traffic compare to others?

We have so far join numerous organizations and have done research by talking to event coordinators.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Look for events that have been around for several years as they tend to build a loyal following.

Applefest in Franklin (about 60 miles north of you) has been around for 30 years and estimates put the crowd around 30-40,000 people over the course of the weekend.

Also look into county fairs as they are popular as well.

Thanks! Also, congrats on your wins this past Saturday in Pittsburgh. Good Luck in the next round!
