Can anyone recommend a good steak house in Albuquerque, NM.?
I want to send a friend that lives out there a gift card.

Wow! That's a tough one. I'll ask around. I don't really go to steak houses, as I can do it better at home.

Not too familiar with Albuquerque, but some 20 years ago, the Ore House in Santa Fe served a prime rib that had a thick coating of chile-garlic paste. It was completely unique and delicious. Restaurants change and I have no idea if this is still on their menu. Steak and prime rib I don't usually order when out, but this was special.

Don't know about steak but you can't go wrong with a nice evening at El Pinto.

Paul's Monterey Inn. Awesome steaks

Interesting menu. Prices seem good for a steak house too. I like the fact they have flat iron, AND recommend it be cooked medium rare.

Yeah, now that you mention it, Paul's is a good spot. I was there 20 years ago and it was good then.

What I want to know is how is the green chile stew?

If it's on the menu it's probably pretty good. That being said, I went to High Noon in Old Town a couple of weeks ago and their "green chile stew" was just awful. It was just stew that had a green chile passed over it, it was pathetic. I would trust Paul's to have a better version.

The beat I ever had came from Cline's Corner. Sadly, they don't make it any more. Where do you think the best is? I always get a good bowl at the Frontier.

Well, the best is at my house. But I think it's pretty good at Sadie's.
