Can't find a Bandera anywhere, what's the next best choice? I was thinking WSM, but can't find one either. May have to have one shipped. Who has the best pricices?

Good to see you Jerry
WSM from Amazon is 199 delivered. A very good choice
The Brinkman Smoke King Deluxe is the backwards Dera, which is also a good choice

It's not backwards, just left handed.

How much do you plan to cook at 1 time? How many do you plan to feed?

I would have to agree the WSM is alot of smoker for the buck. You even see them at many contests.

I wish I could, but the wife just let me buy the new truck. I don't see her letting me spend that much on a new pit.

Promod,
Take a look here for some excellent thoughts on the "lesser priced" smokers.

I love my WSM, and would just buy 2 if I needed more capacity.
Hard to beat for the money:lol:

Don't forget the used market too. Several brothers have gotten really good deals that way.

heyu jerry.. Welcome back!!!!
the age old question.
Do u want to just eat? or do u want to play with fire all day and tend the pit.
for some...eating is therapy, and for others(like me :) ) tending the pit and playin with fire is therapy. Icey margaritas and a loaded pit is a perfect summer afternoon. Personally, the SKD is more fun.... the wsm you can get a nights sleep and have brisket for breakfast. :)
