Hello I am new to the site and to a board like this I am not much of a poster but can be hardheaded. I Love to Cook/Eat/Grill/Smoke the meat. I am interested in perfecting the art of smoking and the things that go with it such as rubs and sauces. I am in upstate NY a place that I call Bubbaville North. If there was enough sun they too would have red necks. I iintroduced a norther friend to smoked meet in Montgomery AL and he cam back north and build a smoker from a 250 gallon propane tank and used additional thick steel for the firebox. When he was almost through with the peices he relized he needed to put it on something so he got a trailer and mounted it on that. His design comes from a Bar-B-Que house called Fat Boys in Pratteville AL good eats. More of me later but for now!
Hello and May the Smoke Be with You

Welcome, Charlie. I just jumped in a few days ago but have been lurking for a while-- it's a good group of guys, but don't turn your back on them for a second. Hey, I used to live in Binghamton-- that's not too far from you is it?

Thanks for the welcome and I am looking forward to the learning, sharing, and comradeship. I will respond to a few of the questions received during the welcome. The first is when I am in trouble I get called Charles (way to formal), my friends call me Charlie, and people who like to get my goat call me Chuck (no offence to the Chucks of the world it is just I an't one) so I thought I would let that one out quick. Now the Bittertruth is I'm way to old to get wound up about it so it is what it is. The second thing is I am about 20 miles due west of Binghamton on future interstate 86 otherwise know as 17. The last question is I do not have any jpegs yet but I should within the week.
I kid my yankee friends that the only reason I moved to New York was that I wanted to retire in my home town of Pensacola and I thought the only way to get permission to retire in Florida was to get my New York time in. Enough for now and again thanks for the warm welcome.
