Where do you guys get carries for your turn ins? I've just been carrying them in hand. Thanks.

We're in the same boat. I use a think towel and wrap around it...and won't let anyone else turn in...lol.

Parsley Lady found a carrier that is designed for a casserole dish. It made of padded fabric and folds over the box and has wooden handled on top. She still carries it from the bottom :)

We use a 6pack can cooler turned sideways...keep a couple heat paks in it, works like a charm for all of turnins...7.99 walmart special, keeps heat in, and is perfectly snug around the box.

Of course you take the heat packs out when you put your box in,,,,,right?

I just carry the box. If raining I put a half pan over the top. I've been to lazy to come up with anything else.

Most of the ones I've seen have been handmade, but I know you can get some online - Google "insulated casserole carrier" or "insulated pizza carrier" or something like that.

We use generic hot bags from BJs. Not casserole specific - handles are on the wrong side. (The bag goes on it's side, the box goes in, and it stays that way until its handed over.)

They are $10-$20 and work great - we recently had chicken prepped 30 mins early (...sigh) and it was still hot when actual turn-in time came around.

Sams and Publix have Hot/Cold bags that work perfectly. They sell them there.

I saw someone almost dropped a box in the turn in line using a carrier, after I saw that, I quit wondering if they have any advantages to them, and me knowing me, probally would be the one dropping it.

The BBQ purses I see some guys using for their turns ins are very cute! Rarely do they match their shoes though.

I have some made like these. They have Chili peppers or flames on them.

I need one as well, I'm in luck that my wife is a professional dress maker and this wont be a big deal to make. I do need to ask her if she can get the thermal insulated material. I think that would be nice to retain whatever heat it already has even being in the foam container.
