I live in East Texas and graduated from Texas A&M in 1976, hence the name Ag76. I was linked to this site from the premium forum on the Aggie Websider which is a part of the Rivals.com network.

I currently have a LyfeTyme pit, and enjoy outside cooking. I have learned a fair amount about cooking over the years, and definitely have a lot left to learn. You can never know it all, and I know that I am not even close.

I look forward to sharing ideas with everyone here. Thanks for the welcome on the Questions Board.

Here's a proper welcome.

We're linked on the premimum forum on the Aggie Websider? Can you tell us more about that?

One of the Board Members on Aggie Websider asked for help on cooking ribs. The best advice came from a guy who recommended this site and said that he had learned a lot here. I came over, checked it out, liked your site, and joined.

Welcome Ag76. I am not familiar with a Lyfe Tyme pit. What kind is it?

Lyfe Tyme Pits are made in Uvalde, Texas. They are 1/4" rolled steel. I have the 16" Diameter, Single Lid, with Firebox (16" x 40" w/ Firebox). They are very well made, and I can highly recommend them. I provided a link to their Website above if you want to go check them out.

My mom lives in Chandler, so I know the area well. Send me a PM. What fuel do you burn?

Thanks for the link Ag. Nice pits. You should go to the profile section and list you cooker(s) in your signature line. Anyone with a pit like that should be proud of it and want everyone to know they have one. 8) It is also helpful in Q-talk to know what you are cooking on.
