I am very familiar with a traditional trailer dolly like this...

I am trying to find a "Jambo" style trailer dolly where the wheels replace the trailer caster and as opposed to the traditional the ball socket is left open and can be wheeled exactly into place

Does anyone know if these are sold anywhere???

I know the local SCCA chapter used these and we got ours at Harbor Freight.

We have a Lang 84. I used a piece of 2" schedule 40 steel pipe for the sleeve the jack goes in. Ours has 4 on 4" hubs and gold cart wheels with 1 1/4" ? square tube axle. It'll never bend and will be the last one I make. It is a little big to haul around but it's worth it.

This would be really over the top, so of course I would never do that.

or you could use a trailer jack with wheels if you aren't going far:

Mr Rockefeller aka Chris (ZBQ). I watched you easy your trailer into your spot at Harvard MA while I was breaking my damn back moving the now for sale old and heavy 8x10 cargo by hand and muscle...the little caster on the jack was useless on grass.

The dolly that Boubon posted is where I will end up because I am not wanting to build or weld anything new right now. I have to insulate, run power, then skin walls and floor of the brandy new trailer I bought last week.

Thanks all

I would just call Jamie and order one. The number is listed on his Jambo Pits website.

Thanks to all. I actually bought a 600 pound traditional one this morning for less that $50 new on sale from Harbor Freight.

@ Scottie...I am looking forward to meeting you in RI and have been for a while. All of the regular NEBS crew frequently speak highly of you. A few weeks before RI I will send you a message as some of our team and a few friends want to support your foundation by purchasing some T-shirts.

Don't believe anything that those NEBS folks have been saying about me.... oh wait, highly of me? They must have been drunk... Remind me about t-shirts. I usually have some with me in the RV, but I can make sure i have sizes you are looking g for.

Worked fine until I got into the famous Harvard mud :becky:
