Hey there everyone-

I found this forum while looking for ways to make my ECB a worthwhile smoker. It didn't take me long to realize this was a community I wanted to be a part of. It's hard to find a good forum these days, but it's clear that you guys are a cut above the rest.

Born and raised in Nebraska, I've been grilling as long as I can remember. Now that I'm older, have a house, and have time to kick back on the weekends, I've fallen in love with the art of good BBQ. One of my favorite parts about driving down to KC for Royals games has always been the chance to eat some of the finest BBQ in the world (I love Gates & Sons), but the best BBQ is what you cook in your own backyard and share with friends.

As I'm writing this I have an 8 pound Boston butt in the smoker - my first "big" cut
