View Full Version : Visiting Brethren

02-14-2012, 12:44 AM
Had the chance to go to the LA area so I had to stop and talk with some of the Brethren! I went to visit BigMista Neil Strawder and his crew at the farmers market. After a slight detour to the wrong farmers market , I finally met up with Neil.

And Olivia:

The food was great and here is what was left of the sampler before I could get the camera out!

After meeting Neil, I actually drove to Steph's, Simply Marvelous BBQ himself, house!

Steph made comp ribs and got me thinking about competing myself!

All in all it was a great time with some great Brethren and great Que!

Big Mista and Steph are great guys (Don't tell them that I said that, it'll just go to their heads )

Watch out for that Northern California bunch, however :-P

Ron, Ron, Ron, you have only seen us at our most cordial and best behavior. Now, if you want to see us with a fire blazing into the night, messing with a pellet gun, as a keg dies a hard death, two might have died, not sure, you want to join us for a Marty Leach backyard bash. And thats all I am gonna say about that. I don't remember much more.

Not to mention the Carolinian of the group...

Someone has to keep this bunch straight out here, otherwise they would be smoking asparagus and avocados and calling it BBQ.

Wow, I happened to wander over to San Francisco for a beer week event and they were pouring some Pliny the Younger, 11% and quite hoppy. Oh, Jeff, Pliny the Elder is sold out in most about just anywhere, but, we got one bottle for you.
